Jeep Reveals the Revamped 2019 Renegade in Italy

Four years after it made its debut, the Jeep Renegade is getting a refreshing makeover tweak. Jeep revealed the changes for the European version of the model at the Torino Motor Show in Italy on June 6th, after having teased the automotive press with a series of mysterious images.

While not official, it seems more than reasonable to expect that these changes will also make their way to the United States version of the Renegade when it appears later this year. The most obvious design changes are in the compact SUV's front and rear fascia, with new headlights, a lower bumper, and new taillights evident. In photos, new wheel designs are apparent, but those could be restricted to the Limited trim level that was shown; it's expected that the various trim levels will each continue to enjoy their own specific design elements that differentiate them from one another.

It's reported that the European models will receive new three-cylinder and four-cylinder engines, but U.S. automotive experts don't expect those to make the trip to America, with our versions likely to continue to come with either a turbocharged 1.4-liter or naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter inline-fours.

Jeep is expected to release more information about the U.S. version of the 2019 Renegade later this year. We look forward to sharing more details about the 2019 Jeep Renegade, including its American debut, as we learn them.
